Chandigarh: Steamhouse India, the Surat-based pioneer in centralized steam supply for industries, has filed a Confidential Draft Red Herring Prospectus (CDRHP) with the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) as it prepares for its much-anticipated Initial Public Offering (IPO).

While the official IPO issue size hasn’t been disclosed in the public filing dated July 1, 2025, market insiders peg the expected raise between ₹500–700 crore.

🔧 India’s First Centralized Steam Supplier

Founded in 2014 under the industrial legacy of the Sanjoo Group, Steamhouse India has emerged as a category creator in centralized steam infrastructure, offering industrial-grade steam-as-a-service through an innovative, pipeline-based model. Led by Chairman and MD Vishal S. Budhia, the company currently serves over 167 clients across major industrial zones in India.

🌐 Nationwide Expansion Underway

Steamhouse is actively expanding its presence in key industrial clusters, with upcoming projects in:

  • Pirana, Ahmedabad

  • Dahej SEZ

  • Vapi Phase 3

  • Ankleshwar Phase 3

  • Panoli Phase 2

  • Jhagadia

  • Nandesari Phase 2

In addition, the company plans to scale into Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Maharashtra, Himachal Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, and Haryana, signaling its pan-India growth vision.

♻️ Waste to Steam (W2S) Innovation

Steamhouse is also making strides in green industrial transformation. Its first Waste to Steam (W2S) project in Vapi is already operational, using non-recyclable plastic waste from paper mills to generate clean steam.

In March 2024, it secured a major 5MW W2S contract from the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation, tasked with building and maintaining a 300 TPD steam plant under the PPP model — a significant validation of its technology and execution capability.

💡 Powered by IoT, AI, and Innovation

The firm’s steam infrastructure is not only physical but also digital. It integrates IoT and AI-based systems for everything from procurement to distribution, allowing clients to enjoy 190°C steam delivered with precision, efficiency, and reduced emissions.

Their unique community boiler model, first conceptualized by a Sanjoo Group entity, allows manufacturing clusters to replace captive boilers with a shared system—leading to:

  • 25–30% lower production costs

  • 65–70% reduction in emissions through optimized fuel usage

🚀 Beyond Steam: New Business Verticals

Steamhouse is now moving into adjacent industries, including:

  • Nitrogen compression and distribution

  • Waste-to-energy solutions

  • Aviation logistics, with a recent application for a Non-Scheduled Operator Permit (NSOP) to enter the cargo and passenger aviation segment — showcasing its multi-pronged diversification strategy.

📊 Strong Financial Performance

According to its FY23–24 Annual Report:

  • Revenue stood at ₹291.71 crore

  • EBITDA rose to ₹70.14 crore (from ₹58.79 crore YoY)

  • Profit after tax reached ₹25.97 crore

Steamhouse also boasts a robust infrastructure of over 45 km of steam pipelines, servicing critical hubs like Sachin, Vapi, Ankleshwar, Sarigram, Panoli, and Nadesari — effectively holding a regional monopoly in those zones.

🧩 A New Industrial Utility Model

Steamhouse India is not just a supplier — it’s redefining how energy is delivered to industries. With a subscription-style utility model, clients gain access to reliable, high-efficiency steam without the capex or environmental liabilities of running their own boilers.

This IPO, once launched, could make Steamhouse India the first-of-its-kind listed steam utility in India, pioneering a new asset-light, sustainability-first category in industrial infrastructure.
